I think the problem is with the wireless card. I need to replace the wireless card. I have a dell desktop with a Intel PRO 1000 wireless card. I need a wireless card for my laptop. Hi, I am having a problem with my wireless card on my Acer Aspire 5830-571G. I have a Dell PowerEdge 8600R and I would like to know if I can use it to replace the built in wireless card. I am having trouble getting the card into the slot that is on the back. I can not get it to fit right. It looks like it is going to take me forever to get it in there. I am not sure of the model number of the Acer wireless card. Does anyone know the model number? Thank you for your time.
Hi, I run a Acer Aspire 5830 on Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I have 2 or more problems, therefore I am setting up this topic. My first problem is that I can't find the Lan port on the PC. Do you know how to find the location of it? I tried to open the back of the PC and I saw a little pin hole, but I couldn't see the pin on it. I tried to open the back of the laptop with a screwdriver, but I couldn't find it. I can only open the back of the laptop with the screwdriver. My second problem is that I can't disable the wifi card. I unplug the power cord and I can't disable the wifi card. I googled the problem and I found solution for it, but it didn't work. Please tell me how to disable the wifi card on Acer Aspire 5830? Thanks for your time.
Hello, I have a Acer Aspire 5630 with an Intel wireless card. I have it set up and it seems to work when I have a cable plugged in. I also have a wireless router but I don't have a cable connecting them. The wireless connection is not working. Any help would be appreciated.
The only other option for the WN07601R chipset would be to use the windows wlan driver provided in the Ralink site. This is a very old driver and has bugs and design flaws. The Ralink site will not provide support for installing this driver.
For the WN07601R chipset you must use the linuxwlan driver and the support site for that driver. It is the only driver that will work. The linuxwlan driver was released as a public domain driver. It will not have any bugs or design flaws. If you use the older windows driver you will have a bug ridden chipset and an unsupported driver.
The WN07601R chipset is fully supported by the linuxwlan driver. The drivers are not in the site because they are not the latest drivers for your chipset. Also the drivers are not in the site because they are not public domain. They are released under non-disclosure agreement.
If you are not having problems on the BCM4322 chipset then do not worry about any other chipset. The BCM4322 chipset is the only one that will work with the linuxwlan driver. The linuxwlan driver includes a utility to detect the chipset on your notebook. 827ec27edc
